Please note:

Contributions must come from individuals. Corporations, businesses, organizations, and unions cannot donate to municipal campaigns.
You must be a resident of Manitoba to contribute.
All contributions over $250 to a single candidate are publicly disclosed as required by law.
Contributions of less than $25 will not receive a rebate. The maximum contribution to a mayoral candidate is $1,500. The maximum contributions to all candidates is $2,500 total.
After donating, you will be mailed instructions on how to claim your City of Winnipeg rebate. Rebate claims are submitted after the election period closes.

City of Winnipeg Rebate Program

The City of Winnipeg provides rebates to individuals who donate to registered mayoral and council candidates. The rebate is calculated as follows:

For contributions between $25 and $300, the rebate is 75% of the contribution.
For contributions between $301 and $1,000, the rebate is $225 plus 50% of the difference between the contribution and $300.
For contributions of more than $1,000, the rebate is $575 plus 33.3% of the difference between the contribution and $1,000.

To receive a rebate, the contributor must:

Complete the rebate application form provided by the candidate
Mail the application to the City Clerk, City of Winnipeg, City Clerk’s Department, Susan A. Thompson Building, 510 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 1B9

The deadline to submit a rebate application is December 28, 2027.
